Dive Dumaguete is the latest marine sanctuary open for dive enthusiasts and snorkelers visiting the province of Negros Oriental. For just a minimal fee and just a short drive south of Dumaguete proper you can explore the colorful and breathtaking beauty of the world underneath the oceans surface.

About Dive Dumaguete Banilad Marine Sanctuary

More than half of the tourists who come to Negros Oriental have one thing in common: to visit and explore dive spots surrounding the island. Which in effect, made the Local Government Unit of Dumaguete come up with a solution to have these visitors stay in the premises of the City of Dumaguete.

Dive Dumaguete is the first and only dive spot in the City of Dumaguete. A Marine Sanctuary located in Barangay Banilad initiated by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, City Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Office, Barangay Banilad Council and the City Tourism Office of Dumaguete City.

Named Dive Dumaguete to lure foreign and local tourists to no longer drive all the way down to Dauin to dive. No visitors are encouraged to stay in Dumaguete and enjoy all the other tourist attractions while at the same time scuba dive.

The City’s goal is not just to spur economic activity but also to answer the impending demand of the people of Dumaguete City and tourists to have its own dive spot just few minutes away from the heart of the city.

Rates for Dive Dumaguete Banilad Marine Sanctuary

For a minimal amount of 100 PHP for diving and 50 PHP for snorkel, one can enjoy and experience utopia of unique corals and colorful fishes. Visitors are expected to have their own gears.

How to Get to Dive Dumaguete Banilad Marine Sanctuary

Barangay Banilad is located 5 minutes away from Dumaguete Robinsons Mall. It is accessible by any type of vehicle and public transportation. Banilad Terminal is located next to Mercury Drug Store at the Dumaguete Public Market.
